Small group tuition

§  We have extensive experience working with small groups of students to maximise impact. Our small group tuition has a maximum of 5 participantsas research shows that once group size increases above six or seven there is a noticeable reduction in effectiveness.

§  Small group tuition is most likely to be effective if it is targeted at pupils’ specific needs. We have extensive experience in assessing pupils’ needs accurately before adopting a new approach. We then have the skills and the understanding that comes from strong subject knowledge and years of actual teaching experience to identify alternative approaches in response to ongoing formative assessment.

§  Small group tuition is cost effective and can give access to support for a wide range of students.

§  However, it is not just about cost effectiveness. Collaborative learning can also have a significant impact on progress in science and mathematics and some students will benefit significantly from the opportunity to work with other students.
